by Elisabeth Jung
Elisabeth Jung is a refugee survivor from World War II. She, her husband and two young children started over in Canada and the USA. It was not easy having to learn a new language as an adult and to have to accept low-paying jobs for many years. But she and her husband persevered. She is grateful to her new country and to all of the people along the way who helped her family succeed.
Nothing, however, can erase the memories she carries with her about the land where she was born and her journey as a WWII displaced person.
