The 200-page book, in four parts, spans the years from the earliest association of the Navy at our alma mater during World War II through the year 2020 when the Department of Defense recognized the unit for exceptional performance by awarding Miami NROTC the inaugural DOD ROTC Excellence Award, the only Navy ROTC unit to the receive the award in the nation. Included are condensed Command Operations Reports from 1966, the first year they were required, through 2020 that tell the significant events of each year. Photographs of all Commanding Officers, names of staff, midshipmen training, Rowan Hall, summer cruises, will bring back memories of your midshipmen years. Reflections by some alumni tell of the values of Miami education and leadership development they received at the NROTC and Miami. Included are the names of notable military graduates and details of the casualties of our alumni who were killed in combat or the line of duty training for combat.
